How we help

Real help, not just a phone number

We don't just hand you a list and wish you luck. We help you understand what you qualify for, make the connections, and stay with you until it's handled.

1.Connect

Reach out and tell us where you are. One conversation starts it — no complicated forms, no runaround, and no cost. Ever.

2.Navigate

We help you understand what you’ve earned and cut through the paperwork, so you know exactly where to go and what to do next.

3.Support

We stand beside you — linking you to trusted partners and peers who’ve been there, and checking back to make sure it worked out.

Good questions

Answers before you even ask

How much does this cost?
Nothing. Mi Service Matters is free. We’ll never ask you to pay to understand or access the benefits and resources you’ve earned.
Do I have to be enrolled in VA benefits already?
No. A lot of the people we help are just starting — unsure what they qualify for or where to begin. That’s exactly what we’re here for.
What if my discharge wasn’t honorable?
Reach out anyway. Eligibility is more flexible than most people think, and options like a discharge upgrade may be open to you. We’ll help you understand where you stand.
I’m a family member, not the veteran. Can you still help?
Yes. Spouses, children, caregivers, and survivors have earned support too — and families are often the ones doing the navigating. We’re here for you.
What if you can’t help with my specific situation?
Then we’ll connect you with someone who can. No wrong door — that’s a promise. You’ll always leave with a next step.

Tell us what you're facing. We'll take it from there.

One message starts it. Free, confidential, and at your pace — with a real person on the other end.
